iPod Revolution

Apple‘s done it again – they’ve released a whole fleet of new iPods.

I’m pretty excited about the new iPod classic which is now a beefy 160GB! The nano and the shuffle have been slightly reworked in new colours and slightly different designs, but the main attraction has to be the new iPod touch!

Basically an iPhone without the phone/camera functionality, so it’s a full touch screen iPod where you can view media or listen to music to your heart’s content! However, sadly this new beast is only available in 8GB or 16GB versions…not great for media hungry pimps like me! That’s only 2 or 3 full seasons of a good TV show and a few thousand songs – not enough to keep a man contented for a few months while travelling!

  1. Another great looking gadget. Alas, no support for drag and drop media, or any other formats. Still, I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before a sweet looking linux device hits the streets and blows it away… 🙂

  2. In my humble opinion, the benefits of the scroll wheel far outweigh the lack of drag and drop. A unix based OS may well be the answer, but out of the ones i’ve tried – none compare to the standard Apple OS! It may not be perfect…but for the last 6 years it’s been the best on offer!
