That’s Tibet For You!

Went up a mountain yesterday with 4 monks (one of whom had just shaved my head the day before) as they performed some kind of ceremony on a sacred part of the mountain…then nipped across to the mountain next door for a picnic of yak meat, bamboo, pig skin, cucumber and local bread. What a day!

After missing our ride to the next town we managed to meet a guy who works for the post office and who could give us a ride at 6.30am the next day (today!) in his truck! Arriving safely this morning…we’re now heading to Ya Ding nature reserve…which is supposed to be one of the most beautiful places in China (and hopefully not so touristy as so far it’s pretty hard to get there!).
